Wow that cabby wheel looks nice! It looks exactly like a mk4 gti or mk4 bora wheel, i wonder if theyre compatible?

Edit: Had a quick look and a mk4 cl/gl wheel will fit but u wont have airbag/horn/canceling indicators. Other mk4 wheels wont fit at all

Golf 3 air bags were optional. (passenger side)
If you wanted a glove box, TKM took out the air bag.
I don't think air bags were a requirement then.

it is a little bigger but i like it, makes the car look heaps newer.

            VR6's had both airbags stock.

The Cabrio wheel definitely looks more updated and modern! I personally prefer the original though.

I love the original, has anyones Vr6 wheel started to wear off at the top. Would love to get it retrimmed in new leather with perferated bits etc.. with stitching to match my interior.

new cover that you hand stich/stretch over. they look great, and you can hardly tell they are there.

Had a look at the link - it really does look good. From the pics, look like it would be factory-fitted too if done correctly. Would you happen to know what material?

Maybe it's just my style, but I'm not feeling the steering wheel or the tails. The side markers and headlights look good though. I would rather prefer a wheel and tails that looked like they belonged there. Perhaps some smoked stock tails or half red/half white, etc. and a steering wheel that was darker in color to match the interior.

It's your car though, those are just my opinions.

Tend to agree on the tails. Tail lights are a tricky one on the Mk3's. I think Mk4 golfs can get away with different aftermarket styles of lights but they tend to look a little contrived on Mk3's for some reason. I think the best lights are the stock Vr6 lights, even tinted a little more they look good also.
Having said that its your car and you need to be happy with it.

                            Cheers
