I personally haven't heard of "Tuningleader" coilovers, just for comparison, my JOM coils came from Veedubmachine and were about 550 landed. Can't complain, cheap replacement, ride is fine, good low, cheaper than replacement struts (mine were shagged).

          Good luck.

Would springs and shocks be a better option than coilovers if i want to lower my VR and get slightly better handling but not compromise everyday driving too much?

Have a search for the posts. Coils are only bad ( i can only speak about "cheapies" ) if you wind them right down. At my current height I have no probs with the ride. Lip is about 100mm off the deck

Sorry to butt in and potentially be a bit snobby, but there's a bit of a problem with this kind of thread - fact can often be left out in place of one's opinion.

To answer the question directly, ''are these a good option for my vr6?'' - they could be good or bad, because it depends on what sort of specifications you're after. You might just want to lower the car, or you might just want better handling, or you might want a compromise.

In my opinion, coilovers are usually a good option for the VR6 because they stiffen up the very lousy stock suspension and give it a bit more oomph for the corners. They can look a lot better when lower also; however, once you start to get low enough to really change the characteristics of the suspension, this can effect handling in a bad way.

To answer your question, ''would spring and shocks be a better option if i want to lower the vr and get slightly better handling without compromising daily driving?'' - no. Coilovers and spring/shock combos have an infinite number of preset specifications available, such as dampening rates and spring rates (some coilovers have the ability for certain specifications to be fine tuned) - these sorts of specifications are what make the car slightly ''better'' in handling, with or without the compromise of the daily drive. To put it simply; the higher the spring/dampening rate, the stiffer the ride.

                Hope that helps a bit...

I've run coilovers in all my cars i've had - including the VR6 - as long as they aren't the really cheap and nasty ones go for it - there are a lot of options out there. i like my cars to ride a bit harder on the road, makes handling a dream, but every individual is different
I'm going to the pub... I may be some time...

I like a bit better quality on my car, I figure do it right the first time and it'll be cheaper in the long run.

                        importing?

just wondering how this panned out for you?
Im ordering coil overs this week, but my concern is tax and duty once landed. any of you that have imported coilys form the UK or Der Fatherland my question is this. how much on top of your purchase price did the wonderful australian government sting you for?

                        cheers

Contact Evorobin on this forum. He is the coilover man.

They do awsome prices, ship the things to your door and if ya have any problems you can ring him up instead of emailing some dude trying to make a quick buck to supply his green habit.
