  • any one that has done an aba swap

    the americans cant seem to help me so in turning to my international friends.im Canadian.

    im trying to swap my mk3 cl to a gl. in terms we both understand 1.8 n/a to a 2L 8v

    i have the harness for the motor, ecu and motor but i dont know if the harness is a straight swap or do i have to splice wires?

    hopefully you guys can help me

    Sorry mate, we never had any 2.0 ABA cars out here., so I'm not sure if we'll be much help!

        yeah we didnt get the crossflow motor but in terms of doing a swap it should be easy since u have the engine harness. its just a matter of tracing the old wires from the engine bay and unplugging them at the fusebox, then plugging in the new one. u will need to take most of the dash off and its best to change the harness around when uve got no motor.

        the only problem i can forsee is if u have a lhd harness and ur car is rhd.
