What do you guys think of changing the colour of your dash? im swaying between cool and tacky?

do you mean colouring the plastic parts? I.e. around heater controls etc...I have a carbon kit on mine. looks ok cos its real carbonfibre. As far as painting dash I would leave it. I'm considering taking the carbon fibre off mine for the very same reason.1983 Lotus Esprit Turbo

changing dash lights can look cool. But i dont think its worth it.. Its not that easy a job i dont think.

there are a few writeups on vwvortex i think. From memory its not as simple as just swapping out LEDs and stuff. u need to use the right LEDs in conjunction with the right resistors. or something to that effect. and then if u do the dash u really need to do the heater controls and switches.

its not that hard to do, the hardest bit is pulling the cluster apart to remove the green tinter behind the lcd screens.
i had mine all blue, except the lcd's and it looked crap. so i put it all back to white until i could be bothered doing it properly with cold cathodes or something similar to give a better spread of light as the factory positions give you beams of light with led's as opposed to a shower of light with filiment globes.
