2L rough in low revs

Hello,

We have a '98 GL 2.0 that is quite rough in revs <2000rpm

I can't visually see any hose splits, but which are the usual culprits? Can a faulty MAF cause this too?

The one right at the top of the engine, that looks like a pair of pants, that one's quite soft and I remember my mate had this one split. The hard pipe below that one is fragile as I snapped it while looking for the leak... great...

Sounds like its the hard pipe. Also the underside of the rubber hose where it goes to the oil brether leaks also.

Any Crankcase leaks/ secondary air will cause a rough idle and incorrect mixture, yeah the notorious crankcase breather, and look at the twin pipe on the tappet cover the wrong way and itll have a hole in it, mainly due to loss of resilience. Another sneaky one that stays hidden on these is the vac line to the fuel pressure reg, its a biggie. Even split will caue the mixture to be mega rich, i would change the vac line for the hell of it anyway.
