  • Steering Wheel Vibrations

Bought new wheels , 16" with Dunlop Sport Max tyres .

Steering wheel vibrates at 100kph or thereabouts .. only noticed it on Eastlink ..

Problem keeps getting worse now each time i take it to get balanced (3rd time today)

The guy at Beaurepairs (where i bought wheels/tyres) just called me saying he test drove it on eastlink and he cant feel anything .. im starting to smell bull#@$%

Any clues ? If its not the wheels or tyres, where do i start ?

did it happen at all before you had the new wheels and tyres fitted?

did you get a steering alignment at the same time?

Have you still got your old wheels? Chuck them on to see if it still does it. It does sound like a wheel balancing problem to me, especially if it only just started happening when you put on new wheels.

      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.
