    i was after a convertible roof for my mk1 and was told by a local car wrecker to go to his "old yard " there would be one there and someone should escort me there 'just follow him there' .the roof was bad but what i saw there was creasy 15+ mk3 japan import mk3 ready for wrecking in better condition than most on the road in australia.i took few window regulators + motor for my vr6 as i need back up off this.there was few old vw there that are going to scrap and i am not talking about beetles.

    Just goes to show how the price of Mk3s has plummeted recently.

      I wouldn't mind getting a rough one to build up into a speedway sedan. Do they have the plastic lock carrier in the front like the later models?

        you need a cordoba mate - even stranger and easier to get hold of - and metal lock carrier.

          Yes, the thought of a Seat did cross my mind.

          Did the Ibiza have a metal lock carrier, too?
