    how hard is it to convert electric window to manual, can the door cards be used but modified to suit

    Drill a hole for the winder and get over the unused switches that will still be in the panel.

    Manual winders are the best option IMO.

      So i need new manual regulators and window winder and thats it i hope . will probably convert both rear windows

        early doorcards have a plug where the winder goes.... circa 1994

          Rear windows?

          Can someone confirm that they have them? I didn't think aus mk3's had manual rears because they only got CL's with manual winders...and they're 2-door...

                Yup and you can buy the window mechanisms brand new from VW for about $120 and they never break.

                    GOLD COAST VW $204 each for manual regulators /$ 36 each for winders, just got off the phone to them he then precedded to tell me that the mounting points for these are differant than the electric ones
