ATE Power Slot rotors with Mintex Red Box pads (Advice Needed)

Hi Guys,

I'll be needing to update front rotors and pads soon, has anyone had experience with ATE slotted rotor for the VR6, and the Mintex brake pads? I would like a pad with less brake dust, but good feel and performance is also important.

I was looking at shipping them from mjmautohaus.com

It comes to US$221 with shipping but I also need a Thermostat housing rebuild kit too so I was going to get them all over together...

What do you guys think?

Just priced up all the same stuff on Germanautoparts.com and it came to $210 including the housing rebuild kit, but before shipping which would be another $50 or so.

Sweet jesus thats cheap, i just paid $588 USD for brembo rotors for the states alone!!

I dont know anybody that uses ATE powerdiscs, but ATE are the VW supplier of brake parts so I can't imagine they'd be that'd bad. Give em a go!

I've only heard of someone using Mintex blue pads on an r32 and hating them, but hes a pick bastard that guy

Have a look at DBA's, most of the cost in these foreign disks is in the postage anyway. They're doing the brakes for formula 3000's in Europe so they're definately a competitive internationally recognised company!

LOL I was looking at the shipping price around $240 and I thought this was the price including $179 for disc's and pads. So I thought the shipping was around $60...



I guess I'm going to look at germanautoparts.com and local options...
