sounds stupid but, how do you get the head unit out of a mk3 vr6?

    Hey there,

I stand corrected in thinking that all the standard headunits are the same but when i removed the standard head unit in my car there are two slots on the side of it where i just slipped in the flat metal tool that pushes up on the clips and ejects the head unit. Then with a little force just pull the unit out, but just remember its still connected,

    Hope this helps

Most new headunits come with two flat metal tools that you use to slide in as said above and unclips the unit from the cradle. I used the ones that came with my Pioneer or Alpine unit. If you dont have any mate, more than welcome to grab mine

Go down to your local JB Hifi or Autobahn and use the headunit keys to remove it...
