  • VR6 front swaybar

I had swapped swaybars and placed new bushes and end-links recently. I've got the control arms in the correct position (the swaybar connection tabs pointing downwards) but I'm a little confused as to how the swaybar should sit:

    Middle section pointing upwards?...

or should it be pointing downwards?

It can be installed both ways but I had heard somewhere that it must be installed in the correct manner for it to "work properly". To me, the first pic looks like the proper way but I've heard some people have trouble with it hitting the exhaust. I've searched other forums but didn't get concrete answers. Some have told me to take it off, but I'm not sure I really want to do that.

Can someone with a stock VR6 swaybar setup have a look underneath and tell me how it should sit? Much appreciated.

    Cheers.

Clip the links onto the A Arms.
The links for that should point up and connect to the swaybar, this should then determine the angle that the swaybar sits at.

      Hey Ray,

I just took a look at mine, and it's pointing downwards like in the second picture.
