Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • new deck install problem...help

    hey guys,
just got myself a new player, install was easy cus i did it a few times already, but this time i have a problem,
install all power wires, started on rear speakers, got sound...
...started on front ones, sound cut out, tried everything that i new, rewired the whole thing 3 times, all different combinations with the ignition and without, still the same, no sound
what the weird thing is, when i press any button on the player or remote, it makes the usual confirmation sound through the speakers, but there is no music coming out..

any suggestions, anyone had this problem before? asap please!

    thanks in advance

lol..what confused me the most was that the cd wasnt broken, the player says track 2 and counting time, as if its playing, all normal but no sound...when i replaced the cd then it was all good
