  • In light of Tim's successful group buy, how about another....

Firstly I'd like to thank Tim for organising the group buy. Just picked up my lip spoiler and will be fitting it tomorrow. In conversation with Tim, I have discovered that RSD short shifters (look much like the Diesel Geek/Nuespeed ones) are available for US$109 (VR6). This thread is to see how much interest there is for short shifters to perhaps get another group buy started. If Tim's experience is anything to go by, we should be able to better this already great price for a short shifter. I'm guessing we could potentially have them landed in Australia for AUD$150 (but prolly closer to $200).

That's a great idea. I have been looking at the RSD shifters for a while now as i need to replace some linkages anyway (changing gears is fast becoming like stirring porridge!). Would it be possible to order in say 10 VR6 shift kits and 5 2L kits? (BTW the 2L kits are $99USD!)

Just a thought for us non VR6ers

    Many cheers!!!

it should be possible to order any combination of whatever u want. Its best to get an idea of what sort of qty first so then u can get an accurate idea of shipping as well. only important thing is to keep each shipment below $1000AUD one thing to keep in mind with these ones tho is that they are already on special i think.

The 2L kits are actually $85 at the moment . Of course, this would not be for VR6 only - anyone is welcome!

Can someone do me a link to the RSD site. I haven't heard of them.

TMTuning, the same place Tim got the lip spoilers, has them. It is the only source of information I have found. Their website is www.tmtuning.com

I have the dieselgeek SS kit. It was one of the first upgrades i did to my car. I hated the stock shift action. Its like rowing a boat!

Ok, I got a reply from TMTuning regards prices and they have said that they can't go lower than the current sales prices , but multiple items will reduce shipping costs. Soooo, those who are 100% please email the part number you want (get it from their website) to nat_straz@hotmail.com I'm pretty sure the VR6 is RSD-1227, and the 2.0 8v is RSD-1226 but please confirm yourself.

BTW, they said that RSD are handmade in Germany, are a dedicated VAG S/S supplier, and have been making short shifters (for VAG cars) longer than B&M, Dieselgeek or Neuspeed.

I have one of these on my Vr. Is fantastic compared to stock. The install is a bit of a btch. I had no reverse after the install. Was easily fixed.
If anyone has problems with the install i can probably help out.
