  • Fitting Foglights to my VR6

I'm fitting some fog lights to my Mk3 95 VR6, and i'm just wondering if anyone else has done this, and what the best wiring config. is. Also if its possible to rig them up to the same switch as the stock fog lights, so that they all turn on together?

    Cheers.

i used to have foglights, wired them upto the parkers then got pulled over too much and put a seperate switch in. its prty strairt forward just get a testlight and find out which wire is for the fogs then hack into that wiring

You can get the Euro switch, which is a two stage switch that enables you turn on your front and rear foglights independently.

The wiring is in the car from the factory. You just need the wiring to go from the connector in the engine bay to each foglight

from my bad memory i think it was a green/yellow wire but i could be wrong, it was a while since i did mine. tmtuning have a foglight wiring kit that makes everything look oem if u wanted.

i jus made a relay wired it all up(exact same as air horn relay) and put a switch near my steering column

no you will need a relay or it will burn out the wires
i thinks its battery to relay connected to switch and run the lights off the relay then to earth hope that makes sense what fog lights you fitting they should come with a relay with a wiring diagram
my fog lights are connected to the original switch its just that the rears come on as well quite annoying
iv been meaning to disconnect the rears but havent bothered yet

pull out the plug behind the switch, work out which wire works with the pull out bit with a multi meter hope this helps

well if u use the factory wiring the foglights will be fused at the fusebox so theres no need for a relay.

One important piece of advice, if you buy cheapy foglights from ebay. Seal them properly first.

Two click pull euroswitch - green is the fronts (1st click) - yellow is the rear (2nd click)
Let me know if you need a part #

Agree with the previous comment about sealing the front fogs up with some silicon, prior to fitting.
They all fog up at some stage even the oem Hellas.

Nope, the parkers + fogs (if you pull the switch out) will be on in this position in the pic.
Left is all lights off, right will be Headlights + fogs if you want them.

Might be easier and cheaper to leave your existing lightswitch intact, and just wire up an independent switch for front fogs.
If anyone needs it, here's the part # from mine. I don't know if there is just one or two seperate types for LHD and RHD cars.
