hand brake dilemma

i was hoping anyone could tell me whether or this mk4 r32 lever will fit my vr6

i sent an email to them before i ordered this mk3 lever asking if its available in silver stitching they replied yes it is available

after i paid for this they sent an email back stating its not available
aarrrrg im so annoyed
id settle for a black one but they dont sell it

The handbrake lever boot from another model wouldn't fit the Mk3 - the shape of the base is wrong and I'm willing to bet the shaft is too.
