what do you mean has anyone done them? painted them? i had textured bumpers and was loooking at paining the top part cause i wanted colour coad, but it fades over time and doesnt look as good as the later bumpers.. and with painting the texture at the bottom i wouldnt the colour matching is always different and when you scrape it the paint flex's and peel and cracks off and looks and cheep..

Sorry mate, but having done it on my old car that is completely untrue. The paint doesn't flex and crack when you scrape even with just rattle cans, it holds its own shape and only the scratches show. This might happen on older cars with 20yo paint but not a freshly done car.

I'm in the process of shaving both front and back bumpers but using plastic welding and not simply filler. Its holding up very well with no cracks and really the only way to go about doing something similar.

          "wound" you mean :mooney:

Yeah there is definately lots of clearance even when slammed as I have experienced, you're going to be rubbing tires way before you start scratching bumpers. So there is no threat from that happening on stock bumpers.

Do you mean putting texture on an untextured bumper?
If so, yes you can do it.

pretty much what i want is a colour coded bumper both parts under the boot and right at the bottom, and the little bit under the top trim bit filled in so its flush.

A smoothd/filled colour-coded bar? Course it can be done, you have a body kit, surely you can see what can happen. Just get a reputable shop that knows what you want done. Hence find a photo of exactly what you want and show it to them
