Hey, i can see it now!

I had the bumper cover, bumper, alternator, airbox, belts, battery, well heaps of crap off the car today, and saw the set up on the passengers side of the car where the charcoal canister could be located...

    It it so do-able!!!!!!

Do it guys, seriously, the cold air benifits would be unsurpassed. You may have to ad-lib a little, but it would be a whole lot of fun! I'm having thoughts about buying a VR6 instead of my little beastie, so im not doing it just yet, but all i need are a few re-enforcing words that GL's arent all that bad...

    Hmmmmmmmm....

If you're really keen for pics i'll get the camera happening and redo it to show all. It's simple as, but what's been posted already should be enough to work from. Just a hint though, if you remove the bumper cover and bumper first, you'll make your life so so so much easier!

    Good luck guys!

Oh hey BTW, here's my idea for the perfect CAI.......

AHAHAHAHAHA..... but seriously, my light's F'd, and i couldn't get it back in the car 2day, so i had to drive to work with no driver's side light! On the up side, engine response was great!!!

        Cheers!

Thx Steve, but the problem is i would buy a VR6 tomorrow if i could sell the GL. Not that i've tried, but it seems damn near impossible to sell up here at the moment, noone's buying cars at all. Would i be stupid to ask 6G for a GL?

Since I bought it i have
            - Replaced Timing belt
            - Replaced Water pump
            - Replaced A/C Compressor, T/X, Rec/Dryer
            - 4 New Dunlop Tyres (1500k's)
            - Replaced all 4 rotors and pad sets
            - Fitted K&N, slight modification to air box for better CAI
            - Fitted seat covers and VW floor mats
            - Done some rewiring, and taken a lot of the car apart, replaced seized bolts, cleaned and lubed everything
            - Lubed up all 4 power window regulators, replaced front drivers reg
            - Had it serviced twice fully, and given a full tune
            - Replaced battery with a brand new sealed Euro unit
            - Primed and painted all textured bumpers

What do you all think? Real market value is hard to tell i think...

            Cheers
            John

Figuratively speaking i think Bug Racer, just had the codes checked, throttle body cleaned and lubed, injectors cleaned and so on... So the mechanic says anyway...

I reckon $6k is fair. People are still advertising them for $9k, but they are not getting it. They get good money on ebay.

                              I am no longer a VR6 virgin!!!!!!!

                              OMFG!!!!!!!

On a break from work today i met up with Alex (KI11Z) and talked dubs for ages and then he took me for a quick spin in the KI11Z...

Let's just say my appreciation for VR6's has, well, increased somewhat. I couldn't think of a better way to lose my VR6ginity... Thanx Alex, made my christmas!!!

That car hoots, absolute weapon - if all VR6's are like that, sign me up!!!

                              Cheers
