Despite what it says they are not coilovers. Coilovers are the shock and spring in the same combination. These are just adjustable springs, hence why the price is so cheap.
I would personally recommend the following coilovers, I have got them in my VR at the moment. Excellent product and excellent price also:

ah coilover sleeves, if u were to buy any buy ground control ones. same ones rayray had which is now in mickey's car. u then need a decent shock to go with them so if u add the price of the sleeves + new shocks = not worth it. the total comes around to coilover money or a really good spring/shock kit like bilstein or koni.

I've got a set of JOM's as well in my VR6 and I coudln't be happier
I also have a friend with them in his MIV GTI and they're great again. I got them, and a complete set of front and rear strut mounts (with front bearings) for $602 delivered from the same seller which came in 4 days
Cash is king unfortunately, the $200+ difference is alot to some people, especially me...80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html

exactly. As patriotic as I am, I'd rather have an extra $250... If the difference in price was less than $100 then i'd consider getting them here, but $200 is a big difference in the current economical state.Originally posted by Golf Houso View PostI've got a set of JOM's as well in my VR6 and I coudln't be happier

Look at the feedback, they sell all kinds of OEM replacement parts as well, they just might take a day or two to respond to an email thats all. And myself and 2 others I know of are very happy with this coilover kit.Originally posted by VR6man View Post
The coilovers been in my VR6 for over 2 months and about 1500 k's and no problems whatsoever, no munched mounts or new squeaks at all, great product
