  • Mk3 1.8 ADZ Mind of its own

    Hi all,

My Mk3 has started playing up. I can only liken it to turning the ignition off and on again every second or so. When sitting at the lights the revs will die to almost nothing then something seems to kick in and revs to say 2000 then down again, this seems to be very rythmic! Of course it's difficult to drive too.
This has happened 3 times, from cold and each time it happened on the exact piece of road on the way to work, perhaps suggesting a coolant sensor problem? In each case turning off for a minuit or so cures it for the rest of the journey...

    Any thoughts???

    Thanks in anticipation

Other cheap possiblity is the coolant temp sensor.

If not, its a throttle bodyy problem.
