As far as I'm aware, OBd is an American thing or something....it doesn't really apply to our engines over here, I think that's what Matt said. So, I'm not sure if it works sorry.

The reason why i want to know is because you can use it with this software on your mobile to log data from your ECU while its working as a lap timer and analyze it later: http://www.racechrono.com/
Sounds really cool!
Just don't know if it would work on a VR.....

OBD was made regulation in the US around 1987, but OBD (on board diagnostics) is worldwide, just with different protocols. The only thing common to the US with OBD is that it was regulation around 1987 for their emission laws , quickly followed by UK, the laws are now getting stricter as they want emission cut down even on start up and that goes for diesel too!!!! Anyway sorry to ramble but thought i would clarify it a bit. Back to the question , i dont see why i wont work, should work if you have an I phone and looks like a great little set up for logging.
Cheers
