Cops get a bit defect happy up here on rims. OFICIALLY, if in NSW and you fit wheels not specified on the tyre placard, you can be defected for "Fitment of non-standard rim/tyre sizing" which can be avoided with a ($200!!!) engineers cert...Canadian dubs coming to VWwA soon

there is reasons for these laws, if a car says it can only handle a specific size wheel, the manufacturers have obviously done it for a reason, it gets to a point where wheels get too big and performance gets lacking... plus anything bigger than 17" on a golf is just getting rediculous.

I have heard of a blue slip mechanic knocking back Golf 1s with 14" wheels but it is just BS! (Get another tyre placard)
