So i finished my lazy coilover install.
Freakin awesome. that pretty much all i can say. ive got it dialed down pretty low in the back and as low as i can practically go in the front.
at first i had it at about 4 cm from the bottom of the threads in the front, and the same in the rear. front looked and was ok, but the back rubbed on almost everything once the springs setteled at their hight.
which annoyed the CRAP out of me. i couldnt even turn the corner without the back wheels rubbing the guards. looked like the cats pajamas but i couldnt stand the noise and the wincing over every bump and driving like a granny so it didnt scrape.
so the next day i raised the rear up about 1.5 cm which made it alot better, though the LHR still rubs probaly every hundred metres just due to road imperfections. so ill probably have to raise it another 10-15mm untill i can get the rear guards rolled.
dropped the fronts another 15mm. it could probably go for another 10-15 mm drop in the front but then i wouldnt be able to get in my drive way and this looks ok i suppose...we'll see!
anyway, heres some pics now
obviously i need to mow the grass
at the moment the tyres are about 5-10mm away from the guard lip so i need to get that crap rolled asap cos i like it this low. the only reason i cant get the front any lower, practically is because when i go over the speed bumps that i need to do sometimes, it bottoms out on the sills/chassis rails as the front of the car somes down the other side of the speed bump. freakin lame!
my only complaints, and i have two of them.
1. the rubbing at the rear, but thats not really a complaint bacuase thats my fault.
2. how bouncy it is. but then again i could raise it and itll be a bit less bumpy, so i suppose my complaint in that area is...i cant be as low as i want and be a little less bouncy. its reletively ok, just a little bouncy at times thats all.
other than that, alli can say is, I AM SO FREAKIN HAPPY.
best mod so far, not that ive actually chaged much but i am really impressed with these thing.
deffinate thumbs up from me for Hot Tuning Coilovers, and a big thumbs up to Evorobin!

thanks man!
ive been thinkin lately about what i can do with the wheels. thinking of having the parts not on the main 5 spoke surface painted black and the 5 spokes and the really thin lip polished up somehow. still gotta look into it thou
