Mk 3 Mudflaps

I suppose there won't be many who have mudflaps fitted to their Golfs (Golves?), but I have just bought them from our friendly VW Dealer for around $80. Picts at the moment of the kits, I may be fitting tomorrow.

Front with raised VW logo.

Make sure you have the right ones. I have some fronts here for the later model with the skirts which won't fit the wifes car. You didn't get my PM last week?

Got it thanks Andrew, replied to it....

I think if I enlarge the LHS hole a bit, it may fit better. I should email Volkswagen Australia, but I wouldn't get a reply!!

Maris, when I was waiting for my mk5 GTI, VWA wouldn't answer any enquries that I sent them! The one answer I did get was rubbish, saying that every GTI for the whole planet (their words!) was built in south Africa! Crazy!!!

Fitting the front flaps. Turn the wheel so that the nut is accessible.



Check the fit....OOPS, it needs the side skirts. The pack said GL '96, but these are for a VR6!!!! Bugga.

Hey! Thats the same as the ones I mentioned before! To suit the later model with skirts.

Held on with 4 screws. Gave the drum a bit of gloss black.

RHS. Now I won't get so many stone chips on my way to Tasmania for the Easter Bug-In.

The front mudflaps finnally arrived lst week, forth time right! Tried to fit them yesterday, but each of the two tools I needed, were missing in action, so I bought more!

The only tools required, 8mm socket & multigrips.



Look at the amount of dirt & leaves I removed from behind the plastic liner.
