light on dash after removing brakes?

the original pad had a wire that i suspect was a wear indicator
the new green stuff pads didnt have anything like that so i just unplugged the wire and cable tied it out the way now iv got this light always on my dash
how do i get rid of it

I believe shorting the wires will make the light go off? Although ive not had to do it on my mk3 so perhaps wait for someone that can tell you definately

i did this a while ago, cut the wires and joined them together to make the "loop" but this didnt work?!
