  • Bypass immobilizer Mk3?

I have a Seat Cordoba 1999 that has been in the garden for ages. It came to me with no key, or ignition lock, so have been tinkering trying to get it to work.

It should have three wires going from the key coded ignition to the module and then 6 going from the module back to the loom.

The 6 wires are two green, two brown and a black and a red. If I splice the greens together and the browns and the red to the black, I can hear the fuel pump start. But the car only runs for a minute and then dies. Immobiliozer must still be kicking in.

I dont mind having no immobilizer, but would love to be able to bypass it without having to get it VAG scanned.

I`m thinking the ecu must have a live that is switched by the ecu. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have looked on the Tex, but US cars dont have immobilizers !
