So having had a casual chat with VOLKSMAN he suprised me on a very busy day at work by bringing me a black colour concept with a blown engine and today dropping off a Bora 4 motion motor on a pallet!

    Its on I reckon.

The plan is to basically run the engine with the VR6 ecu and wiring loom.

Wont make quite as much power as the full Mk4 wiring install, but is a damn sight easier and should result in a running car much sooner.

At first glance, looks like all the sensors are pretty much there, we are gonna have to use the Bora intake manifold and custom make an exhaust, but all else should bolt up.

I`ll take some pics soon and keep you all posted.

The fact is you could get the ECU programmed and get it moving quite happily!

A lot easier to get and cheaper than a loom, ecu and clocks and key to go with it.

And heaps easier to wire in. (I hope)

It still gonna make more power than a standard vr6.

when it all drives peachy, hit up Custom Code and you'll have a 160kw daily.

I have off the phase 1 and 2 for the original ECU. For the VR6 ECU only the head office will tune it, unfortunately.

mm. i think i was trying to get at the point that the stock vr6 ecu will be able to tolerate the differences and can be tuned to optimise the 24v's benefits.

                      how's the swap going matt?
