  • Change your brake pads to something low dust (I would recommend Akebono or Mintex). I did this on my e30 and it made a huge difference - will be changing the brakes on the MK2 to the same stuff soon, too (obviously not just to reduce dust but because they are now overdue for a refresh). I helps that it doesn't rain in Darwin at all during the dry season...

This VR6 is my favorite on here ATM - please don't change the wheels!

    • If you seal them up it will definitely help with the cleaning but wont help that fact that they are a b*tch of a wheel to clean.

You need to grab yourself something like a vikan wheel brush from carcare products to help get in all of those holes......

Car Care Products / Vikan / Car Accessories / Brushes & Mitts / Wheel Rim Brush Soft

I'd grab one of these ^^^ and maybe some nanolex wheel sealant which will help by minimising the amount of brake dust actually attaching itself to your centres.

      • @Domel cheers man im glad you like it, wheels will be staying for a while yet
low dust brake pads are a good idea but most likely will have to wait because it received new pads and rotors recently

@Silver Dub i might order one and try it out, im not one to spend more then 10 bucks on car wash let alone 20 on a brush hahaha
but if it helps the process of keeping RS's clean nice and easy why not

            • My schmidts had nanolex on them bfore I bought them, and I was really impressed with how easy they are to wash/keep clean, and how long they've lasted.
