Ride height, pod filter and rear wiper delete. I never pumped it up so they didn't know it was on bags, which probably would have made things much much worse.
Also stung me for having my rear p-plate slightly hidden under the number plate. Now owe the police some $400 I don't have, and 5 points off the license, which I also don't have. Pretty extreme considering I was only driving down the street doing nothing wrong except for being in my car. After having to pay to get the car towed home and a roadworhty to drive it again, I will have paid more than I would have if I was doing 40km/h over the limit.
Ohwell, guess I learnt not to drive slammed daily :S

Man that sucks. Did they say why rear wiper delete is illegal if sedans don't have wipers? I'm guessing it's modifying oem safety feature or something. If the pod flter is covered is it legal and what's legal for ride height?

They said it was illegal to remove one if it came with one from the factory, which is a bit ridiculous. I didn't do anything to stir them up, wasnt driving fast or anything and cooporated but I think they just wanted to sting me with whatever they could to get the car off the road because it was so low. The pod filter was uncovered and not secured which is why they put it down, although I can't see how that could possibly be unsafe, worse case senario is I suck in some dirt and hurt the motor...
Legal ride height must be no lower than 100mm at any point (except wheels and brakes obviously) when the car is fully loaded. Mine was sitting at about 2 cm, by far the lowest the officers had said they had ever seen.
i find the wiper one interesting...
two cars that come to mind at the mazda 6 sedan and mirage hatch, both have variations with and without wipers. so if you take it off one is it ok?
Sucks about the defect dude, hopefully not too much work involved in clearing
Yeah im sure if I had it properly shaved it would have been fine, but I just had a colour matched plug in there. They also got me for my rear p-plate being crooked and having the corner hidden under the numberplate (which is how 50% of p-platers have their plates) and they then pulled the p-plate out after writing the ticket, so I couldn't even take a photo which I would have considered doing and would have had it looked at in court, I'm 85% sure the way I had it was perfectly legal.
The police were just being ****s, I have no real bad driving history, was just sitting at the lights doing nothing wrong, was 100% cooperative and friendly and so did nothing to provoke them, just unlucky I suppose :/
