Argh I just spent all day soldering them in...they just burnt out on the last one so if they burn out again I'll go to jaycar.
Trent, do you know the wattage of my current ones?
From the looks of them they're only 0.25W which yeah are most likely way too small.
Some additional calculations (P=Power, V=Voltage, I=Current):
I through a specific resistor in a parralel system = (V/Total R)/(R of resistor in question)
I = (12/7.42)10
I = 0.162A
P= V*I
P = 12*0.162
P = 1.94W
Therefore you need a 2W resistor. However if you can get a 5W one to be safe. Hopefully this will sort it.
