  • Yay or nay??..DIY painting

Not really sold on the grille, but the lights look "ok". I think it could look good. Maybe comnig back and watching this it will look a bit better...

    Thoughts?

Hey Malcolm, what are you trying to do? Smoke the lights on the front, and painting the bottom half of the grille? I'd say yes for the light smoking (don't use tint-spray for the front headlights though! Take them apart and black out the housing), but no to the bottom half of the grille.

Hoi, ta for the reply Ray. DIY King speaks....

Yeah smoke lights (replace bulbs as well).
You mean bake the lens off, spray the INSIDE of the lens and then reseal it.
Fogs/indicators i should probably just get branded ones.

Then that grille. Hmm well I wasn't sure whether I wanted the full or half job. Full does look a bit much. Maybe just the badges/slats is the way to go.
400grit, primer, couple of coats of semi gloss. Sealer. Done. Maybe.

        Only do the lights mate!

Lights and dummy fogs/indicators are easy mate! Ray helped me do mine. I don't think I've ever been a fan of different coloured grills on VR6's; they look cleaner when the grill is the same colour imo
