Hi Guys, Just wanting to find out whether the air con compressor from a VR6 is the same as one from a 1995 GL 2.0L?

Hey Rebecca, the easiest way to find out information about interchangeable parts like that is by going onto www.germanautoparts.com and having a look at the products they have there. They'll usually be able to tell you if a product is exclusive to a VR6/GL/CL or if it is universal across the mk3 range
I'm finding out for you now.

I can tell you from my own painfull experience of owning both a 2.0 and a VR6 and having the compressors die in both cars in the same year that they are different.2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son

They are different. VR6 one has a wider belt fitting and the ends come out at a slightly different angle.

yeah, I am in desperate need of one for a 95 GL, as mine now has smoke coming out of it and it smells like it is burning.... not to mention the horrible noise!!Comment
