hey boys found this websight havnt fully read about how it works n all but its an eletic supercharger! an eletric boost prob make the car a lil quicker i guess?
Granted, I can understand what they're saying and I could see how it would make an increase in performance, however there are obvious flaws that suggest it's a total waste of time and money: "only activated on wide-open throttle" Well I personally hardly ever NEED to use wide-open throttle in my VR..so why would I stick a $500 POS on the end of my intake that is only activated when my foot is flat?
It's pointless to me.
EDIT: And someone correct me if this is wrong, but it seems to me that if you force more air into a normal NA setup then it won't work that well...there's the exhaust to constrict airflow, the manifold that can only take as much as it was meant to...forcing it all without the components of a turbo/super charging system seem like it'll only do damage to the engine.
Those has been around in the chinese replica market for a while, I have seen them in corner shops in HK for $500HK ~ 100 AUS.
I have also seen less advances version which connects the same way but with 2 wires going into the battery. Easily DIYable with a computer fan I reckon.
To my suprice they actually do work, a mate of mine has one in his CooperS. But I sugested him to take it off.... WHAT if the fan comes lose and gets sucked into the intake.
