  • Checking the auto fliud level mk3

    ok guys how do you check the fluid lvl in the auto's. Now before you say check the dipstick... there isnt one. There is a red clip cap but no dipstick.

    Check the code for gearbox if it is the same as my car(mk3 golf gl) There is no dip stick there is a plug under car to check level .O1M gearbox it use a synthetic fluid. gearbox must be a certain tempature.when checking level.i have not done this on mine think i will take it to vw specalist to do .

        Yeah thats OK that link Ray. However, VW have a disclaimer that if they change the fluid and then the tranny doesnt work, its not their fault.

        Plastic valves in the unit are held in place by sediment, when you flush that out and refill with fresh fluid, it may not work the same.
