On the topic of hatches, did Australia ever get them without a standard spoiler? I know in the States (or Mexico), some of the basic models didn't come with a spoiler, and so their rear windscreen has no holes in it... very clean look if you're thinking of not running a spoiler.

Nah we didnt get the 1.3 or 1.6 Mk3 with no rear spoiler. The cool thing is no holes and its a non-heated rear window so it looks extra clean.

Most post 94 cars have a separate third brake light instead of it being in the spoiler, makes removal of the wing much more easier. I reckon 5 door looks better with the spoiler.
