Crazy Idea relating to MK3 power windows

Hey guys

In relation to the power windows and our cars and the switches being known for giving up the ghost. I have a crazy theory that I have used in my old cars and was wondering if it may be possible to adapt it to the golf.

For the price of relays, wiring and the hassle id just nick a switch from the wreckers. Its more the window regulator that breaks more than the switch.
