I reckon they look sick as. I'm wanting to get one for when I drive down to Melbourne and for other long distance driving. I've searched on eBay and goingfast seems to come up with the goods. Not cheap though - $135USD shipped. Maybe it'll be cheaper if we did a group buy?

Surely there's that thing I think I've read up somewhere that you can actually get your car fitted with this crazy clear plastic bra sort of thing...

Sorry I can't be of more help, but that would be a good option!

Yeah it's something like that. I saw advertising for it a while back and I reckon it would be an awesome thing to do, especially to a freshly painted front end!

I had a squizz at this one close up, looked ok and passable without the added 'Toblerones'

Can't be that hard to get one similar made up and elastisized to fit snug ....only thing about bras is the rest of the front will take hits from stones...leaving you with one immaculate strip of paintwork...

I'm a bit partial to them myself also. They look good on that first pic if they didn't have the 'toblerones' (best description - lol bsting!)

GoingFast are REDICULOUS for their shipping prices outside the states. I emailed them as a possible source for badgeless grills for the group buy and they wanted $100 extra each item for shipping... sh*t heads. If you want business, be reasonable.

I reckon it would be easy to make, but I don't think I'd want to leave them on too long.... I've seen the alot of commodores that take damage to the paintwork because of the constant close rubbing from the material. It is pretty much worse when they are taken off...

I don't adore them. But I surly wouldn't mind it for practical reasons. e.g. use them on a long weekend trip.

I wasnt keen on them awhile ago. But it sure beats the look and cost of stone chips.

Since my VR is black i personally dont think it would look too bad.

I would be getting one beacause I would like to protect my car. Its NOT for looks. The beauty is that they can be removed for the city driving.

Tassie roads are great, but are poorly made and the councils attempt to "patch up" is absolutely ridiculous. The edges of the roads start to deteriate, resulting in loose gravel and tarmac. It only takes a truck or a car to hit that gravel and bam...full of stone chips.

Yeah, they're not for "permanent" use - I'd much rather stone chips than this happening:
