It is with regret that I put my 1993 VR6 Golf up for sale
$1500 or best offer.
No roadworthy included, registered until March 17th 2019.
I would much prefer to sell the car to someone who will repair and use than part out.
I have been up to date with all servicing and repairs since purchasing the car approx. 8 years ago. I am the 3rd owner.
I recently have been travelling and living overseas too much to warrant car ownership in Australia and so lent the car to a friend and his wife to use while I'm away. While using it, the oil light has come on and the car dropped oil on the road. They don't want to spend the money to fix and keep driving so it is sitting in front of their house gathering dust.
I thought that I would offer the car up here first to someone who wants to fix the car and drive it (as when it was running a few months ago it was sublime, extremely quick and very fun and I'd hate to see it go for scrap metal). Or someone will have great use for the car for the many original spare parts or to make a rally machine.
I would definitely keep the car and repair her but alas I am in the wrong place currently and have nowhere to store the car back home. Since I'm not in the country I was hoping someone here who knows and loves VR6's could purchase it or find a good home for the car. Would need towing from Melbourne (Brunswick) VIC.
The car has done approx. 250xxx but the odometer strangely reset after I had some electrical repairs done at about 225xxx.
Original everything I believe (except roof lining and exhaust tip) - sounds great.
Brand new clutch done approx a year ago. ($1000 job)
Original VR6 BBS wheels
Aircon/heater works fabulously with new switches gauge on dash and all hoses/core new.
Sony Stereo and speakers.
