    hi fellas,

Its time to change it, I don’t want it to snap on me somewhere half way to the mechanical shop, so i was wondering what should i expect to spend on this, and also where abouts in Sydney is good place to take it to

    cheer,

The belt is $60 or so. It could take a couple of hours to change.

    Whereabouts in Sydney are you?

Plus you should change the water pump on 20v's(trust me) and the belt tensioner(trust me) and then you have another 4 years and 90,000KM of trouble free driving.

On a mk3 the water pump runs of a normal drive belt the mk4 engines (except v5, vr6 ) ran off timing belt , few fail as bad as mk4's , they usually get noisy .

Timing belt on a mk3 isnt too bad to do , but there is 3 things that must be lined up instead of 2 .

As for workshops , Im down at Girraween , Im open virtually all the time
