power steering help please

hey, when i turn lock to lock when parked the steering sorta stops half way and it feels like it isnt going to move but then gave it some slack and it turned....

after a bit of driving it then does it again..

i can hear somethin squealing like a pump or something,there is plenty of fluid..any ideas >?

if its the pump any suggestions where to source one

yeh mk2 gti 1991....yeh yesterday in rain .. any help

Water on the belt I suspect.
Could make it slip.
Common problem on Mk2s.

yeh today the weather was alright at least bit dry..and it didnt do it..

where can i get the cover from and does someone have pic with and without cover

If its slipping wouldnt the width of the belt also affect it ? Maybe its old and needs tightening ?
