Just put kjet into a carby car. Mk2. Goes great, but runs out fuel, chokes and goes again.

I mounted the accumulator in the engine bay and the fuel pump further back under the car. Does the accumulator need to be near the pump?

I used the original Mk2 lifter pump, in line fuel pump and the original lines. And a kjet accumulator.

    Any ideas guys?

So I moved the accumulator to next to the pump. engine immediately sounds much better and sounds like it has more fuel.

      Roadtest tomorrow.

Still coughs almost randomly. Drove it around town and she died a couple of times, but went pretty hard for some of the time too!

          Any ideas?

i found when the pump got warm it lost pressure maybe swap the pump.

ps: slapped the 16v in today, just got to get it running. so you'll be getting that carbie very soon.

              Yeah, maybe the pump.

Good luck with the swop. I reckon you`ll be right.
