    hello, just introducing myself.
    Im Benny From Launceston TAS.

    i have a 86 Golf GTI with 2.0 2H 8v (still running CIS)
    any other mk2 owners here from tas??????????

          Now now....Tassie is the Golf Capital
          That's a very quick little package! Andrew used to run it at club days and in Rally Tas A nice example!

            When I used to live in Launceston, i would drive past VW Imports and see your Mk2 there. looks real smick.

              hey 'tassie GTI' do you know much about the car??
              i only got it about 7-8 mths ago..it was traded in at devonport toyota on a toyota echo...thats all i know, lol.... when u say Andrew, do you mean Andrew Robinson?
              really interested to find out some more about it...

              any of you guys meet up for cruises or anything?

                Yes..the car was originally owned by Andrew Robinson and used in Tassie Club Days and Hillclimbs. He also finished 8th outright in Rally Tas in it quite a few years back! Having mentioned it's motorsport background, it was always well looked after by Andrew! He just joined the forum as gtimk5, so send him a pm if you want to find out more info

                There are heaps of great looking standard and modified Golfs in Tassie! There have been a few cruises...but think that more should be on the way

                  ah, thanks, ill hit him up... i was actually looking for a Mk1..but this came up, and was bit more rare. I'm down hobart way occasionaly so ill PM you some time n meet up

                    hey is your golf the one i saw in Launceston bout 2 weeks ago driving down bathurst st when i was pulling out of the alcohol refreshment shop. lol
                    followed it off the connector and it turned into st john st..??
