  • Mk2 Golf GTI indicator fuse blowing?

I was driving home today and half way home my indicators stopped working. I tested it by putting another fuse in and they keep blowing. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

    Thanks

Check your Hazard light switch( if it's the one on the steering wheel).

Same thing happened to me and took me a while to work out it was a busted hazard light stitch.
Would buzz instead of blinking and no light would appear on any turn signal.

If it is a hazard light switch let me know cause aim still trying to track one for my mk2!

Thanks for the reply. I don't think that's it because the hazards still work fine. When they first stopped working the green indicator light would come on, but wouldnt tick or flash. Now it just works for a few ticks then blows the fuse.

Sounds like a short somewhere then.

I'd be checking all the turn signal wiring in places like rear hatch, front engine bay- you might have worn through wiring in the loom.
