Battery in Boot

Is it possible to mount the battery in the boot on a MK2

I used to do it on my MK1's when I was young and foolish.

Now its a necessity - the base plate has rusted out on my MK2 and I intend to grind it out entirely.

Nothing is impossible, however I'd imagine weld repair the battery base plate is easier. Compare to some BMW that I've owned, there isn't a suitable location in a Mk2 boot to mount a battery.
