  • Alternator brushes / voltage regulator part number please?

    Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone has access to a aussie delivered mk2 gti and can read off the bosch part number for the voltage regulator? Having a hell of a time trying to find the correct part number, bursons and repco have been useless.

    Cheers.

wouldn't all Mk2 GTI use the same voltage regular ? mine has been replaced by a australia brand, can't remember the name now.

I have a KAE brand spare if that suit you.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Aussie spec GTIs came with a higher amperage alternator, and am not sure if the regulator is the same.

Yea I think they went to like a 110amp one have seen one in the past, same size bodily also.
I would contact a Bosch approved shop and quote part number from the silver sticker on altenator,i have found aftermarket ones can vary in quality .
Love the Repco comment .......priceless,dont worry they are useless here in NZ also.
