      ask in a mk2 thread...

haha. well you basically need 2 - 3 extra inches on stock offset wheels to get enough poke.. that specific mk2 is running 15x8s at the front ET 14. that's some mega poke... compared to p-slots (mk2 pirellis) they poke out about 50mm more.. (49 to be exact).

the rears are 8.5s and about ET 10.. even more poke.. lol

where are you located mate? update us with a pic and location

hmmm.. a lot of peopel run 15x8s with 195 tyres.. rayray here on his mk3 does as a daily without too much hassle. the rears you can comfortably have at about 9" without them actually poking... any wider and you need SPT.

                      Nice!! Love the OEM look.

I'd have loved to have put a G60 in it, or a VR6. Then i would have begged, stolen and borrowed to bring it over. Oh well

That car was running a VRC and the rims were 8 & 8.5x15" BBS RM.

Original ET is 33, and he's added 2 & 2.5 dishes to get that effect.

I loved the car until you got around the back and saw the smooth rear end and frenched bumper

                              Hi mate

Was going to bring it with me but I've got a 4 month tour of Iraq to deal with in April, and by the time I get back it'll be nearly time to depart the UK. Time away from the car in the last 2yrs has been incredible, hence the reason why I haven't had the time to finish it.

So I've started to break it, and lo and behold I'm making my money back - just wish I could get the time back as my little boy is nearly 3 and I've missed out on a lot.

But this doesn't mean my VW ownership is going down the pan as I'm keeping a fair few bits from my project:

                              Wheels
                              ARB's
                              Exhaust
                              Stereo install

With a bit of luck I'll get myself a nice little Mk2 when I get out there and have a little play. Also on the lookout for a decent Mk3VR as I've got a nice little stockpile of parts ready for one of those too!!

One of the bonuses of joining the RAAF is the 40ft container that turns up at my house to be shipped to Oz. It'll be full of VW parts which are either obsolete or rare for the Australian shores, and maybe some clothes - if I can fit them in!

Can you stuff the shell into the container?
If its a roller with swinging panels, I`d buy it off you in oz. There are not enough 2 doors here
