Mk2 rear demister

Check the wiring that goes through the hatch hinges. They usually crap out there. I need to fix mine as the light works but nothing happens.

Had no licence plate light and that was the problem.

Mine works. It does the job but not as fast or powerful as modern ones.

Check that all the bars are completing the circuit. Mine had breaks all through it so I had the rest of the bars scraped off before tinting. You can get repair kits, though.

Had the same issue wasn't doing anything, hooked up a multimeter to each line and found a break in the circuit. Did a dodge on the fix though, used clear nail polish to complete the circuit, can't remember who told me to use that but it worked well.
