  • Audi 5000 vs Stock

I picked up a Audi 5000 throttle body for my mk2.

I measured it up and it looks like its the same size as the stock one. Its suposta be overboard but it just looks like the larger of the 2 butterflies has been replaced with a biger one (doesnt close all the way).

Is there any difference bettween a standard Audi 5000 throttle body and a mk2 gti one?

How much bigger, alot, small, tiny?

      Looks the same to me

Is it worth the trouble fitting it to the mk2, as i have to fiddle with a few thing to conect the accel cable.

        Hey how did u go?

Im thinking of doing the same thing, is audi 5000 an aussie audi 100?
Was potting around a pick a part yesterday looking for one but there were only a few audi 80 and 90...which also look similar to mk2 throttle bodies

BTW there was a mk2 there albeit a carburettored GL 4 door (import?) there if anyone needs parts etc at centre rd pick a part in clayton...shame for the bingle at the front because it had the single light euro grille

Oh and just 1 question...would wheels off a seat toledo fit a mk2?

        cheers

Yup Audi500 is Audi 100 in Oz.

Yup Toledo Wheels will fit Golf

Is that Mk2 worth Saving? Seems a shame to let it be crushed.
Front panel is a bolt on jobbie.

Oh cool cos i spotted a Toledo stacked up on top of 2 cars in the no access area...had some spiffy mags on too. So if anyones after Toledo parts in sth east melb checkout the address above (not wheels tho)

That mk2 had stacked against a post, needs grille, bumper, radiator support...all the interior was in pretty good nick, no one had pulled any parts off it yet...although was sitting on the discs/drums

oh and it had the keys
