Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Buying or selling?

Depends on many things more than you have mentioned.

Could be worth as little as $1500 or more than twice that and it was rather neat despite the above mentioned problems.

I'm interested in the same - I have a '91 Auto GTI that runs fine, but has a couple of minor dings and the usual quirks. I'd like to fix it up before I sell it but some parts are not easy to come by, so it's going without rego and RWC. I'm hoping for $2,500 because of the money I put into it, but I don't know if that's wishful thinking?

Supply and demand. If there are only 1 or 2 in the country for sale and people have money to part with, the price goes up.
