  • 89 Mk2 Jetta

I have just purchased an 89 mk2 jetta(small bumpers) and although I have had a couple in Ireland I am new to the scene here. The car is in very good condition except for laquer peeling.

My plans for the car are:-

    Coilovers
    Banded Steel Wheels
Or Cheep 13 or 14" deep dish wheels
    Roof Bars

Can anyone help me as to were I would look for the above in Perth? Much appreciated

    Cheers...

Ye they are pretty hard to come by over here..
Its not the prettiest thing at the minute, I will get pics up soon.
Ebay seems to be the way to go as far as I can see but it would nice to be able to just pick up the stuff

hmmm my thought too as soon as I read it.

Congrats! would love to get my hands on a two door mk2 jetta

          Have any pics?

Check out the sponsors section of the forum, few guys like Lorenz/evorobin at Slammed or Preen at TPR should be able to sort you out for coilovers.
Wheels id look on the forum, ebay and so on.

Roof racks might be hard to come by if the jetta is different to the golf mk2...?

I wonder where it is from,South Africa maybee ???

              I have seen a few ex SA MK1 and MK3 Jettas in Melbourne,but never a MK2.

Please post pics up ASAP,would love to see what it looks like at the moment.

They were a great car,and are STILL sold new in China.

Yep, looked at buying it a while back. I'd love to have a mk 2 jetta to add to the collection.

Hey yeah they are not the deep dish you are after but still they are a rare set. 14" by 6" wide. they ran nicely on my golf.
