does anyone have any experience or know anything about fitting the 2.7biturbo engine from a 2nd gen S4 into an mk2? is this engine still a vr6 style? will it even fit?
the S4 engine is a north south layout compared to an east west of the VR6 engine i believe.... correct me if im wrong here

yes thats right... but the 1.8t in the A4 is longitudinal, it needs to be turned 90 degrees to fit into an mk2 for instance.
i was hoping that on the off chance someone was going to say "yes that engine is simliar to a vr6 bla bla bla" but i guess i was dreaming after all would be an amazing swap though
nope it was up the font, would be an absolute weapon to drive though, lead tipped arrow would be my choice of words

There is a company in the UK called TSR, they have been putting these engines in various vag cars for a while now, they have a fwd passat as a demo car which i saw at GTi international in 2003,
I think they have done a corrado and a mk3 golf
